At the foot of the Pohorje hills, in the heart of Limbuš, lies the Jaunik wine estate. Their winemaking has a long tradition — the property, around 150 years old, has been passed down from generation to generation. The family has been making wine for many years, producing high-quality wines, so it comes as no surprise that Domen Jaunik continued his studies in viticulture and earned a master's degree. The wines are produced from Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Ottonel, Traminer, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Rhine Riesling. These wines have received numerous quality medals at national and international competitions.

The estate on which our vineyards are growing, was bought by Albin and Ana Žaren in 1936. First, it was mixed farm, but now is wine estate for more than 20 years. Since the begining we have been monitoring our conditions and potential on what our vineyards can offer. Based on theese findings, we have created new tier: selection of best vineyards and grapes of highest quality which we named ALBIANA after Albin and Ana Žaren as a tribute to them, as pioneers of our story. Brand was created and internationaly protected in 2018. First wines under ALBIANA brand were labels of Modra frankinja 2016 and rest of white and rose wines of the 2017 vintage.

A Beautiful Life deserves a Beauliful Wine. The vineyard, the vine, and the grape can express themselves most beautifully in wine – if only we allow them. A winemaker’s minimal intervention, both in the vineyard and the cellar, is the purest path to experiencing the terroir, each individual vine, the stone in the cellar, the barrel… LEPÚ is my personal wine expression, one I wish to share with like-minded souls.
